I obtained my Ph.D. on micro scale cavitation and its applications at Sabanci University in 2017. I subsequently undertook postdoctoral work at Sabanci University and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. In 2020, I moved to Sabanci University-SUNUM where became the principal investigator on microfluidics and cavitation while acting as a visiting researcher in the Medicine Technology and Health System School at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden till 2022. I am serving as an editor and topic editor for the Biomed Research International Journal and Biosensors Journal, respectively.
I currently head the Cavitation and Interfaces Group (CAVinTace) and run a spin-off company named CAViTreat AB (https://cavitreat.se/) as the co-founder.
In 2022, I received the prestigious Newton International Fellowship from The Royal Society for our project on cavitation physics in the presence of 2D nanomaterials.
We have open positions in our group (MSc, Ph.D. and Postdoc) for spring and fall 2022. Please contact me at mghorbani@sabanciuniv.edu for your informal inquiries.
